CarpeVia is a labor of love by Charles Young (the techy guy) and Emily Reed (the wordy one).

Before we met, we had each separately discovered the joys of planning mystery trips for our friends -one of Charles’ included a spontaneous flight to Brazil for Carnival. And our marriage vows even included “I will travel with you”. (They also included “I will support your rugby habit” but that’s a future app.)

 

After 3 years of coding + 5 months of RV travel through the US, we are close to launching the version that lets you make your own ventures.

In the meantime we keep developing  versions for conferences and towns.
