About Me
I was born in Eugene, Oregon to two young parents who were high school sweethearts. For the first five years we ate a lot of organic food and drove around in a VW van.
When they divorced, I moved back and forth each year between the liberal college town of Eugene (where Mom stayed) and small conservative town of The Dalles (where Dad lived). I always thought that when I had the choice, I’d just pick a place and stay. But instead I’ve never lived in one place longer than 4 years.
Overall I have moved cities 21 times. Have lived in 34 houses. Attended 4 different Universities. Had 60 roommates (100 if you count the co-op). Held 17 jobs. And freelanced with 24 agencies on over 100 different clients.
One of the best days of my life was August 16 2003 when I had most of the people I’ve known and loved all together in one place. It was for my wedding (one of the only times people feel they have to show up) when I married a lovely man named Charles. He also happens to be an Aussie, which means that we are now doomed to be living away from people we love, no matter where we choose to live.
