Dad arrived on Wednesday and is almost over his jet lag. He wandered around Sydney for the first two days while I shamelessly ignored him for work things. But we did get some time on Friday to see the Australian museum and have lunch in China town. The “summer” weather has been interesting -let’s just say not much call for sun screen so far.
Saturday we hopped in the car and drove to the Blue Mountains. Here’s a gorgeous view from the look out:

And then on to Young where we toured the garden (with fly nets on our heads) and stayed up late watching the Election results. We all went to bed feeling relieved to see the government shift away from conservative rule for the past 11 years.
This morning I woke to gorgeous sunshine and homemade muslie. Life is pretty damn good.
